Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. ripe honeydew melon (about ½ medium melon)
  • ½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 ½ cups water
  • Optional: honey or sweetener of your choice (1-2 tablespoons, depending on sweetness)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Honeydew: Peel the honeydew melon, remove the seeds, and cut it into cubes suitable for blending.
  2. Puree: Place the honeydew cubes into a blender and puree until smooth. You should have about 2 cups of honeydew puree.
  3. Mix Ingredients: Pour the honeydew puree into a large pitcher. Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and 2 ½ cups of water. Stir well to combine all ingredients thoroughly.
  4. Sweeten if Needed: Taste your lemonade and add 1 to 2 tablespoons of honey or your preferred sweetener if the honeydew is not sweet enough. Stir again until fully incorporated.
  5. Strain (Optional): For a smoother lemonade, strain the mixture through a fine sieve to remove any pulp.
  6. Serve: Pour the honeydew lemonade into glasses filled with ice and serve immediately for a cool, refreshing beverage.

Notes

  • Choose very ripe honeydew melon for maximum sweetness and flavor.
  • If honeydew is very sweet, additional sweetener may not be necessary.
  • Straining the lemonade is optional but results in a smoother texture.
  • Serve chilled over ice for best refreshment.
  • This lemonade can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
