Ingredients

Scale

Dip Ingredients

  • 1 jar caramel sauce (12.5 oz)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • ⅓ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup toffee bits, divided
  • ¼ cup chopped peanuts, optional, divided

For Serving

  • Apples (I used Gala, but you can use your favorite variety)

Instructions

  1. Whip the Cream Cheese: In a medium-size mixing bowl, whip the cream cheese with a mixer until it becomes fluffy and light in texture.
  2. Add Sugar and Vanilla: Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the whipped cream cheese. Mix until everything is fully incorporated and smooth.
  3. Mix in Toffee Bits and Peanuts: Stir in ¼ cup of the toffee bits and 2 tablespoons of the chopped peanuts (if using) into the cream cheese mixture evenly.
  4. Spread the Cream Cheese Mixture: Pour the cream cheese mixture into a serving bowl or a 10×6 inch baking dish and spread it evenly to form the base layer of the dip.
  5. Add Caramel Layer: Pour the caramel sauce gently over the cream cheese mixture and carefully spread it evenly without mixing the layers.
  6. Top with Remaining Toppings: Sprinkle the remaining toffee bits and peanuts on top of the caramel layer for added crunch and flavor.
  7. Serve: Serve immediately with slices of your favorite apples for dipping. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Use room temperature cream cheese to ensure a smooth and fluffy texture.
  • For a nut-free version, omit the peanuts and substitute with extra toffee bits or crushed pretzels.
  • Choose apples that are crisp and slightly tart like Gala, Honeycrisp, or Granny Smith for the best contrast with the sweet dip.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Let the dip sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes before serving if refrigerated to soften slightly.
